Steve loaned me this and I really enjoyed. I thought the pace was great. The character development was great. And details, I mean a great heist movie makes those watching it believe that they too are in on the heist. Showing us a key part of their planning the heist where they figure out how to disarm a certain kind of alarm was very key. It also showed a bit of bonding between the hoods which came into play later on how they weren't exactly quick to rat one another out. I hope I am not giving too much away. Anyway, what a great movie, and yes, Steve I will try to get it back to you on Monday night. I know I always ask this but does anyone know other places you can write about cinema? What about that cinema class at TMCC who's going to be taking that? Anyway, stay in touch y'all.

Rififi is definitely one of the best crime movies ever made. The heist scene alone is just so absorbing, and to think it goes on for nearly a half hour without any music or dialogue. Brilliant!

Yeah, this forum is pretty dead. I think the only reason I come here anymore is to delete spam accounts. The one website I go to discuss and write about movies is Criterionforum.org. It originally began as a place to talk about the Criterion Collection DVD label, but now discussions include both new and old movies and DVD releases from all over the world. Most importantly, it is very active and lively. I took a film appreciation class at TMCC years ago and it was a lot of fun.
