What begins, seemingly, as a light, bawdy comedy about village sex life soon becomes something much more dark and mysterious in ONE DEADLY SUMMER. Isabelle Adjani is outstanding as the ostensibly carefree and sexually brazen Eliane, who waltzes into the community with a truckload of attitude and a wardrobe-full of see-through dresses. But after seducing unassuming fireman Pin-Pon (Alain Souchon), and moving into his unwelcoming family home, Eliane’s troubled past and shadier motives are gradually revealed. Winner of four César awards including "Best Actress" for Adjani.
